A study into bed-cleaning habits has given some rather gross findings.
Between sleep and duvet days, we spend a very large chuck of our lives tucked up in our beds.
And there isn't many better feelings than crawling into a cosy bed after a long day- especially if you've got clean sheets.
However, if this new study is anything to go by, some people don't value clean sheets as highly as others, especially after they've had a 'special guest' over to stay.
A rather disturbing study by Mattress Advisor has found there's a big difference in how long men and women wait to change sheets which have been 'soiled through sexual activity'.
Here's what the research found:
The study uncovered that the average lad waits 11 days to change the sheets, compared to four days for women.
And when it comes to one night stands guys wait an average 18 days, compared to 2 days with women.
Generally, single guys admitted they only changed their sheets every 45 days.
In total 43 per cent of men will change their sheets before a night out if there is a possibility of sex later on, compared to 33.4 per cent of woman.
But if sex is pretty much guaranteed this jumps to just under 49 per cent for men and 39.1 per cent for women.
The company surveyed 1,000 people about their bed-cleaning habits for the study.
However the figures change a lot when it comes to people who are in a steady relationship.
Men and woman who have a partner tend to change their sheets more often, with married couples unsurprisingly winning the title for most regularly changed sheets.
Does this sound like you? Or are you a regular sheet washer regardless of bedroom activity levels?
