If you're out on the roads today you should be extra careful, as Storm Gareth is set to hit the country.
The north-west is expected to get gusts of up to 130 kilometres per hour and there is also a risk of coastal flooding.
Met Éireann has issued a status orange wind warning for Donegal, Leitrim, Mayo and Sligo while there is a status yellow alert for the rest of the country.

The Road Safety Authority says everybody needs to take extra care on the roads, particularly because flooding is a real danger.
Brian Farrell from the authority has given some advice to drivers who encounter a flood.
"Don't drive through it as it could be deeper than you think. We don't want to have a situation where people get stranded in flooded roads and the emergency service, who will probably be busy as it is dealing with situations in affected areas, [having to divert] to extract you from a flooded road, when you should have heeded the advice that's been given and found an alternative route," he said.
