Edel gets the nod mainly for her work in helping people with Parkinson's Disease.
She is the founder of Free Feet Medical which aims to treat gait freezing, a common symptom for people living with the disease.
She first created the device when she was just 15 and won the Best Individual Award at the BT Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition.
Now she is one of seven Irish representatives on the Forbes list along with the likes of rugby star Peter O'Mahony and actor Jessie Buckley.
Listen to Edel chat to Dave and Fionnuala on The Lift about finding out she was on the Forbes list, focusing on her many projects and not really taking much time to relax!
