The new Villa owners look to appoint the former Arsenal man.
Former Arsenal striker Thierry Henry has agreed to take over as manager of Aston Villa, according to the Daily Star.
Henry has been working as a coach for the Belgium national side since 2016 and has recently given up his role as a pundit on Sky Sports to pursue a management career.
And he is being lined up to replace Steve Bruce at Villa Park, with the club's new owners unsure Bruce is the right man to lead them back to the Premier League.
