Firstly, let's start off with a positive signing this summer.

The signing of midfielder Jorginho on a five-year contract from Napoli, for an initial fee of around £50m, sees the Brazil-born Italian swiftly reunite with Sarri.

Playing under Sarri last season, he recorded more successful passes than any other player in Europe’s top five leagues, with 2,860.
Only three Chelsea players bettered Jorginho’s 43 chances created in 2017/18.

But a total of 19 shots indicates he may offer a limited goal threat of his own.

Nonetheless, Jorginho’s ball-winning ability could boost Chelsea’s clean-sheet potential. He ranked in the top five players for recoveries in Serie A last season, with 255.

Who are Chelsea's biggest rivals?

Seems to me, that with the other London teams like Arsenal and Spurs already having a bitter rivalry with each other it has made the Chelsea games with them a lesser occasion. West Ham, Fulham, Watford, Crystal Palace and the likes just don't offer Chelsea that main event match anymore. Manchester United are too occupied with Manchester City these days so where do Chelsea go.

Can Chelsea keep the big players?

Hazard, Courtois and Willian are constantly in the transfer news this summer and all look to be open to a move away with Real Madrid and Barcelona the most likely suitors. Keeping them together is a massive task with Courtois coming into the final year of his contract and Hazard tipped to replace the hole left in Los Blancos team.

Rob Green, why though?

Chelsea announced the signing of goalkeeper Rob Green on a one-year deal. The club revealed the signing via Twitter, noting the former England international will arrive at Stamford Bridge as back-up to Thibaut Courtois and Willy Caballero. But all seems a bit strange and unexplainable. I can't see Sarri arriving at Chelsea when he did, Go to the board and shout "GET ME ROB GREEN".

Where will Chelsea finish this season?

The Arrival of Sarri is a huge boost for the club as the tactician did wonders for Napoli, but can he get his message and style of play across and show what his teams are capable of this season? The late holidays of some of his World Cup starts won't help. A top 4 finish is a must regardless.

Morata, Does he fit in?

If there was just one single moment last season that summed up why Chelsea decided, and perhaps needed, to ditch Conte, and have been so drawn to Sarri.

It was their performance against Manchester City in March. Forget about the boardroom bust-ups and transfer arguments, the decision to play without a recognised striker. They had zero shots on target and just 28% possession and made it painfully obvious that the Italian’s penchant for pragmatism had gone too far.

Up front, Last season Napoli’s play was typified by movement, runners from deep and interchanging attackers. This could suit Morata if he buys into it sooner rather than later.

I feel Chelsea can be a superpower of English and European football again, maybe not this year and it will depend on keeping some big stars but watch this space.
