Croatia midfielder set to leave Madrid
Real Madrid midfielder Mateo Kovacic is closing in on a season-long loan move to Chelsea, according to Marca.
Kovacic wants to leave Madrid, despite new coach Julen Lopetegui expressing his view that the Croatia international would be happy to play for the club this season.
Manchester United and Tottenham are among the clubs to have been linked with Kovacic, but it now appears he is on his way to Chelsea, with an agreement expected to be announced in the coming hours.
