A Status Yellow Rainfall Warning has been issued for Donegal.
Met Eireann says heavy showers or longer spells of rain can be expected through tonight and tomorrow with some surface flooding likely in places.
The warning comes into effect at midnight and is set to expire at 3pm tomorrow.
A small craft warning will also come into effect at midnight, for all coasts of Ireland, as southwest winds reach gale force or higher.
