Would you like to see snowfall this year?
Do you like the idea of snow at Christmas?
You could be in luck then as forecasters have hinted at a white Christmas in 2022.
The Mirror reports that temperatures could drop as low as -8 degrees in the last few weeks of this year. If it happens, it'd be the first time there's been snowfall in Ireland on Christmas Day in 12 years.
The last white Christmas was back in 2010 when up to 27cm of snow fell in some places. Temperatures back then also plummeted to -17C in parts of the country.
Bookies have already slashed the odds on snow this Christmas.
Nicola McGeady from Ladbrokes said: “It has been 12 long years since Ireland experienced snowfall on December 25.
“If these latest odds are anything to go by, it seems punters could finally be getting their White Christmas wish.”
