West is best.

If you're living out west you may notice an influx of visitors coming your way this week, after Met Éireann declared that Connacht will see several days of 20 degree weather in the coming days.

In news that has us believing that summer may finally be starting to emerge from the shadows, the national forecaster predicting that Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday could all reach the magical 20-degree mark.

Let's start with today (Monday) and apparently it'll be dry for the rest of the day, with good sunny intervals. Maximum temperatures 15 to 20 Celsius and coolest on east and south coasts.

Tuesday will be another dry day with sunny intervals and temperatures hovering between 17 to 21 Celsius and warmest in Connacht, west Ulster and in the midwest. But again it will be a little cooler on east and south coasts... so far so good.

More of the same on Wednesday with good sunny spells and highest temperatures of 15 to 20 degrees and warmest in the midlands and northwest.

And the party will continue into Thursday with largely dry with sunny spells and highest temperatures of 15 to 20 degrees with light easterly breezes.

Don't know about you, but this has certainly lifted out Monday mood.
