The warnings are valid from 12pm on Tuesday.
Donegal, Leitrim, Mayo and Sligo have received a status Orange wind warning as Storm Gareth approaches Irish shores.
Met Eireann has forecast westerly winds reaching speeds of 65 to 75km/h with damaging gusts reaching 110 to 130km/h.
There is also the risk of coastal flooding due to high seas. The warning is valid from Tuesday March 12th at 12pm until to Wednesday March 13th at 9am.

Meanwhile a status yellow wind warning has been issued for all other counties for the same period.
Connacht, Donegal, Clare, Cork, Kerry and Limerick have also been issued with a status yellow rainfall warning valid from 6pm this evening.
