Is that a glimmer of hope we see on the horizon?
Let's face it.
The summer hasn't been great, has it? A touch of sunshine here and there but not enough to break out the Factor 50.
While we can't guarantee shorts and t-shirt weather, the forecast is looking pretty decent for the weekend.
Here's how it's shaping up:
Friday
There'll be a few showers about on Friday, mainly over the northern half of the country, but they will gradually becoming lighter as the day goes on. It'll be quite cloudy through the morning, but that'll break up during the afternoon and sunny spells will increase. We can expect top temperatures of 16 to 21 degrees, which'll be decent.
Saturday
Mainly dry on Saturday with just the odd light shower around, mostly in Ulster. There'll be a mix of cloud and sunny spells, but expect slightly cloudier weather over the midlands, east and north, with the best of the sun in the west and southwest. Maximum temperatures of 22 degrees.
Sunday
As it stands, it'll be mostly sunny countrywide. Dry and warm too with top temperatures of 24 degrees. Happy days!
