24 degrees? Yes please.
After a spell of summer weather that is best never spoken about again, it looks like our fortunes are about to turn.
The latest forecast from Met Éireann looks extremely promising, with temperatures above 20 degrees predicted from Thursday onward.
Could summer '19 be going out with a bang? We certainly hope so.
Here's what we can expect:
Thursday: Should be a dry day with a bit of sun breaking through the clouds. However a bit of drizzle will be around in the west and north, highest temperatures will be between 18 to 22 degrees.
Friday: Will be warm and most importantly it'll stay dry in most areas with spells of sunshine. Highest temperatures 18 to 23 or 24 degrees, warmest in inland areas.
The weekend: The national forecaster is predicting the warm weather to continue this weekend with sunny spells and just light variable breezes. There is a chance of a few showers, but many areas will stay dry.
Highest temperatures will be between 19 and 24 degrees.
Plus the early mail is that there's a good chance it'll will stay warm early next week as well.
After what we've had the last couple of weeks, this all sounds glorious.
