CSO figures show the seasonally adjusted number of people unemployed in April was 124 thousand 200 people.
That compares to 115 thousand 400 people in the previous month.
Showing an increase of 8800 people now unemployed in Ireland.
According to the CSO website, the Monthly Unemployment rate in April 2024 was 4.1% for males, up from the revised rate of 3.9% in March 2024 and down from 4.3% in April 2023.
The Monthly Unemployment rate in April 2024 rose to 4.7% for females from the revised rate of 4.3% in March 2024, and up from a revised rate of 3.9% in April 2023.
In terms of age, the Monthly Unemployment rate for people aged 15-24 years (youth unemployment rate) increased to 10.6%, from a revised rate of 9.2% in March 2024.
