Ryanair have agreed to airlift a stranded turtle back to the Canaries after it was tossed overseas in a hurricane.

Mara, an endangered turtle, ended up in Roundstone in County Galway when she got caught up in Atlantic Storms last month.

The sea turtle won't have to shell out a cent for the rescue mission as Ryanair have agreed to transport her home free of charge.
