Good news for when we're eventually allowed to do things again!
An Bord Pleanála has given Tayto Park the green for a new 15.5 million euro roller coaster for the theme park.
The permission granted by the appeals board clears the way for the construction of 'Coaster 21' which is made up of a 31 metre high and 748 metre long Suspended Thrill Coaster
Permission has also been given for a 24.2 metre high and 238 metre long Family Boomerang ride.
The decision brings to an end a two-year, four-month planning battle by Tayto Park owner Raymond Coyle to secure planning permission for the new attraction.
A previous roller-coaster proposed for Tayto Park was refused planning permission in July 2019 due to the noise impact of people’s screams from the coaster on residents’ properties.
