Taylor beat Amanda Serrano last night.
Katie Taylor has beaten Amanda Serrano in the biggest-ever fight in women's boxing history.
The Bray boxer and undisputed world champion won a split decision after going all 10 rounds with the Puerto Rican.
It was the first time a women's fight has been the main event at New York's Madison Square Garden.
Katie Taylor says her "heart" and "skill" led to her retaining her status as undisputed lightweight world champion.
Taylor says she'd be keen on a rematch, with Croke Park a possibility.
"Special, special moment. The best night of my career for sure, I wasn't sure anything could reach my Olympic Gold medal moment, but tonight was absolutely the best moment of my career," Taylor said afterwards.
People have been taking to Twitter since Taylor's win, praising her as one of the greats.
We’ve had many greats, but will we ever have greater than Katie Taylor? https://t.co/VyzQbX0MRT

One of the most courageous and mesmerising performances ever delivered by an Irish sportsperson, and no bigger stage upon which to do it. Phenomenal stuff from Katie Taylor, and amazing performance too by Amanda Serrano ?#AndStill #TaylorSerrano
