So what do we do now?
Feeling a little shell shocked? Got the shakes?
That'd be the post-Love Island fear kicking in.
For a solid eight weeks, we dedicated our life to the trials and tribultions of Greg, Amber, Maura and Co. We cried when Amy said her goodbye speech, we laughed at Maura's "fanny flutters" and we were left shell-shocked when Michael pied off Amber after Casa Amor.
So how do we cope with no Love Island on our screens?
Aidan and Oonagh from The AO Show have come to the rescue with this Ultimate Post Love Island Survival Guide:
1. Wean yourself off slowly by watching Love Island USA
So we know that nothing could ever possibly replace the Love Island UK version but if the thought of going cold turkey is too much for you to handle right now, Love Island USA will help fill the empty void. There's even an Irish guy, Cormac, we can get behind. I mean, he's no Greg but where needs must...
2. Book a holiday abroad
So we can't actually enter the Love Island villa but we can do the next best thing and book a quick getaway to Spain. Sangria, bronzed gods and godesses and the beaming sunshine every single day? Sign us UP!
3. Take up a new hobby
Ever wanted to speak fluent French? Learn how to play the guitar? Maybe you want to try your hand at still life? Well now you have a spare hour of the day to put towards something useful. Win-win!
4. Go see the Love Island contestants in your local nightclub
Now that the 2019 couples are out in the open, they're touring the length and breadth of the nightclub scene. We're sure the Mauras and the Gregs will be making an appearance in your local nightclub very, very soon.
5: Re-couple with your other half
If a Limerick lad like Greg can couple up with Amber maybe you should take a leaf out of his book and re-couple with your other half. Why not write them a cheesy poem or take them salsa dancing? Or at the very least, you can just acknowledge their mere existence once again after having ignored them every evening since Love Island started!
