UCD students are criticising the colleges decision to go ahead with in-person exams, despite the current surge in covid cases.
Yesterday, several third level colleges decided to postpone examinations, while others opted for an online alternative.
UCD's student union president, Ruairí Power says he's concerned about the differences in approach.
"It's concerning for a number of reasons," he said.
"The main issue that we would take with it, is the lack of uniformity between the different Higher Education institutes.
"There's huge degrees of variance in the different setup's that different universities had for exams."
Power feels a flexible approach is needed.
"It's possible to show flexibility to prioritise public health, and not put people into packed exam halls unnecessarily."
