Some summer isn't it?
Heavy rain is expected to fall for the rest of the day and will continue until early tomorrow morning.
A status yellow rainfall warning is in place for 11 counties until 6am tomorrow. The counties affected include Dublin, Kildare, Laois, Longford, Louth, Wicklow, Offaly, Westmeath, Meath, Cavan and Monaghan.
Showers are expected to continue for most of the week too. Here's how the weather forecast is shaping up, according to Met Eireann:
Wednesday
Rain will continue over Ulster and there'll be a mix of showers and sunny spells in the rest of the country with highest temperatures of 15 degrees.
Thursday
Thursday will be a bright and fresh day with sunny spells and showers. The showers are likely to be heaviest and most frequent over south Munster, south Leinster and also in the northwest of the country, with a risk of some hail and thundery downpours. and top temperatures of 16 degrees.
Friday
It'll be another showery day on Friday but expect some bright or short sunny spells also. Some of the showers will turn heavy, with a few thundery downpours likely too and top temperatures of 17 degrees.
Weekend
So far, the weekend looks to be much the same. It'll be fresh and rather cool, with showers set to develop each day but there could be some bright or sunny spells also.
