(Source: pixabay.com)Met Éireann has issued a status yellow snow-ice warning for Donegal.
The national forecaster says the county should expect spells of snow on Friday night and early Saturday morning.
It could lead to accumulations of up to 3cm in places, in particular on higher ground.
Poor driving conditions could affect drivers as a result of the bad weather.
The warning will be valid from 12am on Saturday until 12pm the same day.
