Man (20s) And Four Teenagers Hospitalised After Serious Crash In Carlow

Gardaí are looking for witnesses.

One man in his 20s and four teenage girls have been hospitalised after a serious crash in Carlow.

It happened at around 11:50 this morning about one mine from Ballinabranagh village at Clogrennane.

There were five people in the car at the time - a man in his 20s and four female teenagers. All five have been taken to The Midland Regional Hospital and St Lukes General Hospital Kilkenny. Two of the five are said to have serious injuries.

A technical and forensic examination of the scene is currently underway.

The road remains closed and diversions are in place.

Gardaí are looking for any witnesses travelling on the Ballinabranagh Rd between 11.40am and 12.15pm today to contact Carlow Garda Station on 059-9136620. They can also call the Garda Confidential Line on 1800-666-111 or any Garda station if they have information.
