Employers insisting staff fully return to the office could be "dangerous"

It would be "dangerous" for employers to insist staff come back to the office five days a week.

That's according to a 'future of work' expert, as the phased return to offices commences today.

Managing Director of Futurewise Peter Cosgrove says a hybrid model might work best.

IBEC believes most workplaces will adopt a new hybrid approach, not requiring staff to be in the office every day.

The Tanaiste says employers can force workers to return to the workplace if they're contracted to do so, but urged employers to be sensible.
