Where are you leaving cert weather?

Met Eireann has issued a fresh rainfall warning for seven counties after rain soaked much of the country overnight.

Cavan, Monaghan, Donegal, Leitrim, Mayo, Roscommon and Sligo have all received a status yellow warning for heavy rain fall.

The new alert kicked in at 9am and will remain in place until 9am tomorrow.

The Met Eireann warning states: "Another 25 to 32 mm of rainfall expected over 24 hours."

While the short term looks pretty miserable, there is a touch of hope for slightly (and we mean slightly) better weather in the coming days.

The forecaster says Friday will be dry in most areas with a few bright or sunny spells breaking through the cloud with highest temperatures 14 to 16 degrees Celsius (better than a rain warning).

While Saturday will see a ''good deal of dry weather to start the day''  with highs of 13 to 15 Celsius with light variable breezes.

Until then, keep your fingers crossed for the Leaving cert weather!
