It'll be a bit wild in the west.
There's a Status Yellow rainfall warning in place for Galway, Clare, Limerick and Kerry today.
Met Éireann says there'll be spells of heavy rain throughout the afternoon which will lead to accumulations of 30 to 40mm, with higher totals possible in upland areas.
The weather warning is in place from 2pm today until 2pm on Saturday.
The rest of the weekend isn't looking great either with the weather forecaster describing the next few days as "very disturbed, wet and windy". Lovely. Here's the full forecast for this weekend:
Friday
Dry in many areas this morning but showers or longer spells of rain will develop in the southwest and spread eastwards to all areas, becoming widespread this afternoon with some heavy downpours.
Saturday
Tomorrow will be mostly cloudy in Connacht, Munster and south Leinster with spells of rain. North Leinster and Ulster will be slightly brighter with some scattered showers but winds will be strong and gusty in the west and south with highest temperatures of 12 degrees.
Sunday
A mostly cloudy and very blustery day is expected on Sunday with widespread showers. Those showers will be prolonged and heavy with lengthy spells of heavy rain - especially over the south and east with the risk of flooding.
