The festival we didn't know we needed!

A Prosecco festival is taking place in Cork this month, and will be the first festival of its kind in Ireland.

This celebration of the majesty that is Prosecco will include masterclasses on how Prosecco is made and where it comes from, as well as Prosecco cocktail making class and a tasting event (Prosecco cocktails are a thing?!)

Organised in association with Tindal Wine Merchants, the festival will be hosted across The Metropole Hotel, Cork International Hotel and Cork Airport Hotel throughout the month.

Some of the events taking place are:

The History of Prosecco – Prosecco Masterclass
May 10th, 2019, Metropole Tea Rooms

Guests will be welcomed with a Prosecco cocktail before tasting their way through four different types of Proseccos from the Perlage organic winery located in the Veneto region of Italy. Each table will also enjoy delectable cicchetti to finish the event.

The Festival of Prosecco Supper Club
May 24th, 2019, The Met at The Metropole Hotel

Indulge in a bespoke four-course meal with carefully prepared glasses of the finest Prosecco introduced by winemaker Elena Brugnera from the prestigious Perlage vineyard. The tasting will include Soraloc Prosecco Frizzante, Sgajo Prosecco Spumante DOC extra dry, Canah Prosecco superiore DOCG brut and Col di Manza Prosecco superiore DOCG.

Tickets (€65) are limited and available here.
