The hospitals will have 25 theatres.
Efforts to cut waiting-lists will see two new elective hospitals open in Dublin.
The Health Minister was given cabinet approval for the facilities to be built.
According to the Irish Independent, they'll be built at the children's hospital in Crumlin and at Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown.
The hospitals will have 25 theatres and will carry out minor operations and gastrointestinal scopes.
These new hospitals will hopefully help to decrease the number of people on waiting-lists across the country.
The go-ahead has been given for 2 new Dublin hospitals in Blanchardstown & Crumlin to speed up the treatment of waiting-list patients needing common procedures & reduce trolley pressures. There are plans also to build extra ones in Cork & Galway.https://t.co/HOp9kkm6Iq
