It's prime season for watching films on TV and luckily for us, there's plenty to choose from this evening. From festive favourites to classic rom-coms, here are five of the best movies on telly this Christmas Eve.
Frozen - 1:30pm - BBC One
It's the film that took over when it first came out in 2013 and your little ones are sure to love a rewatch. Princess Elsa has the power to freeze anything she touches but she loses control of her abilities and her kingdom suffers a perpetual winter. She goes into hiding but her sister Ana remains determined to save her.
ET - 1:40pm - RTÉ One
Ah, good ole ET is on today to give you all of the feels. A young boy befriends an alien who's been left stranded on Earth and soon develops a close bond with his little friend.
Home Alone - 6pm - Channel 4
What's Christmas without the chaos of Kevin McCallister? The OG film is on Channel 4 this evening and follows Kevin who has to fend for himself when he's accidentally left behind on the family holiday.
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom - 6:15pm - RTÉ Two
Three years after the destruction of Jurassic World, Owen Grady and Claire Dearing are asked to return to the theme park to save its resident dinosaurs from the island's active volcano.
Notting Hill - TG4 - 9:20pm
A hapless and recently divorced bookshop owner finds love with a glam Hollywood star, but the relationship is not without its own challenges and tribulations. It's a classic romantic comedy written by Richard Curtis, and starring Hugh Grant and Julia Roberts.
