We're going to get one day of decent weather at least.
It seems we can expect a little bit of everything this weekend with Met Éireann forecasting thunder and a risk of spot flooding, as well as sunshine in parts of Ireland.
According to the national forecaster today (Friday) will see a risk of thunder and spot flooding in places.
However things will improve a little as the day goes on with a few sunny spells, before the heavy rain returns and spreads eastwards across the country on Friday night.
Saturday:
Saturday will be wet.
Heavy rain is expected over Leinster and Munster with another risk of spot flooding.
Met Éireann says there is a “good possibility” those conditions will also affect Ulster and Connacht throughout the course of the day.
Sunday:
Sunday though is expected to be a “bright, breezy day with sunny spells and scattered showers”, with temperatures hitting highs of 17 degrees. Not too bad.
Next week:
As for next week, after more rain on Monday, both Tuesday and Wednesday are expected to be mainly dry and sunny, with gentle breezes and temperatures reaching highs of 15-17 degrees before more unsettled conditions return heading into next weekend.
