Image via LibrestockA Status Yellow warning for Snow and Ice has been issued for Connacht, Cavan, Monaghan, Donegal, Longford and Louth by Met Eireann.
The national forecaster says falls of hail and sleet will occur with snow accumulations mainly on high ground.
There also may be some lying snow in places below 250 meters along with icy patches.
The warning comes into effect on Tuesday April 2nd at midnight and is valid until Wednesday Aoril 3rd at 12pm.
