Status yellow... it's been a while old friend.
In a brutal reminder that summer 2019 could well be over, Met Éireann has issued a status yellow rainfall warning for 10 counties.
All of Connacht, Cavan, Monaghan, Donegal, Longford and Westmeath have been warned to expect heavy rain followed by heavy, possibly thundery downpours.
The national forecaster also said there was a risk of localised flooding.

The warning is valid for basically all of tomorrow from 8am until 8pm, so our advice would be wear a rain jacket.
Over the weekend.
Thankfully Saturday will be better, it'll be mainly dry with sunny spells, though showers may affect the east in the morning. Temperatures should hover between 18 to 22 degrees.
Met Éireann says Sunday will be a ''breezy day with outbreaks of rain, possibly turning heavy in the west and north with the best chance of dry and bright weather in the east. Highest temperatures of 19 to 23 degrees in fresh southerly winds.''
We've seen better weekends! But at least it wont be a complete washout.
