They'll be on sale from January 2nd.
McDonald's will launch its first fully vegan meal in January.
Its "Veggie Dippers" contain mix of red pepper, rice, sundried tomato pesto and split peas. The fast food chain will also offer fries which are approved by The Vegan Society.
McDonald's says it's seen an 80% increase in the number of vegetarian orders placed by customers in the last year. Last year, it launched a wrap with veggie red pepper and pesto goujons.
The new veggie dippers, which will be free from all dairy, will be on sale from January 2nd.
Thomas O’Neill, Head of Food Marketing at McDonald’s UK & Ireland told Metro that:
"In the last 12 months we’ve seen an 80% uplift in customers ordering vegetarian options at McDonald’s, so it is time for the brand famous for the dippable McNugget to launch a dippable option for our vegetarian, vegan and flexitarian customers.
"The Veggie Dippers are a delicious addition to our menu and we’re looking forward to seeing what customers make of our first vegan Extra Value Meal and Happy Meal in the New Year."
