Longford's finest Maura Higgins is apparently set to take to the rink on Dancing on Ice. The Sun report that the Love Island star has been signed up by producers.
However, it seems to be at the expense of her co-star and friend Amber-Rose Gill, who was previously rumoured to be in the running too.
Show bosses have met with a few Love Island stars and decided that the Longford lady was the ideal fit for the show. Maura's proven to be a hit with TV audiences in the UK as she's been applauded for her no-nonsense approach on her agony aunt segment on This Morning.
She's not the first Love Island star to take to the ice. Wes Nelson was a runner-up on the show last year while Kem Cetinay came fourth the previous season.
“It was looking hopeful for Amber but Maura pipped her to the post with her sense of humour and personality” a source told The Sun.
“Maura is hoping Curtis can now teach her more moves, even though she will be on the ice.”
