A Garda investigation is under way and one arrest has been made.
A man's body has been discovered in a farmhouse in Cork.
The body of the 29-year-old was found in Shanavagoon, Ladysbridge, at around 7am this morning. The victim had a number of injuries.
His body was removed to Cork University Hospital, where a post mortem examination is due to take place. The scene is currently preserved and Scenes of Crime and the State Pathologist have been notified.
A man in his late 20s has been arrested and is being detained at Cobh Garda Station.
