Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after a fatal crash in Co. Mayo.
The incident which claimed the life of a man in his 60s occurred at 7pm on 31 March on the N59 near Mulranny.
His remains were removed to the Mortuary at Mayo University Hospital.
A 12-year-old boy, who was a passenger in the car, was also taken to Mayo University Hospital with minor injuries.
The road remains closed at the scene and local diversions are in place. A Garda technical examination of the scene is due to take place today.
AA Roadwatch added: "The N59 will remain closed between Mulranny and Ballycroy until approx. 11am this morning after a serious collision last night. Motorists are advised to take an alternative route. Diversions are in place."
