If you're feeling inspired this Paddy's Day..

According to Duolingo, more than 1 million people are learning Irish using the app.

Besides the annoying owl, there are plenty of other ways to brush up your cúpla focal from Pop-Up Gaeltachts to Irish language sports teams.

But, if you're more of an armchair Irish language learner, here are 5 deadly Irish language accounts you need to follow:

1. Séaghan Ó Súilleabháin The Kerry Cowboy

Séaghan and his madra Brandaí have clocked up millions of views on TikTok and IG for their wholesome countryside content. Gaeilge + dog pics = iontach!

2. Áine Ní Bhreisleáin Beo Ar Éigin Podcast

One third of the BAEs from the hugely popular Beo Ar Éigin podcast, Áine and her pals Sinéad and Siún discuss everything from bad breakups to Eastenders - it's like pre-drinks with the girls, but you're also picking up a few words!

3. Síomha Ní Ruairc TG4 Presenter Réalta agus Gaolta

Síomha has been a regular fixture on TG4 talent shows for the last few years. Between the glam outfits and the hilarious puns (which she scripts herself) we cannot wait to see her back on screen. In the meantime, check out this gas video of her and pal James Kavanagh singing WAP as Gaeilge.

4. Cian Griffin Gaylgeoirí

As well as being PRO for Na Gaeil Aeracha, an LGBT friendly GAA team in Dublin, Cian serves up scorching memes, loads of reality TV content and handy vocab sheets for the things you actually want to chat about in Irish.

5. Ciara Ní É Founder Aerach Aiteach Gaelach

Poet, writer and presenter, Ciara Ní É is currently Dublin Fringe Artist in Residence. As well as writing and performing her own spoken word work at festivals like Electric Picnic, Ciara creates loads of content on TikTok explaining what different Irish words mean.
