Hero's Welcome for Lowry in Clara Later Today
As was reported in the news on iRadio this morning, Offaly golfer Shane Lowry will get a hero's welcome in his hometown of Clara later today.
More than 10,000 people are expected at his homecoming celebrations, which kick off at the Green in the town from 6pm.
One AO Show listener speculated that the actual number could be double that! There'll be music and comedy as well as a live Q&A with the man of the moment.
Lowry's only the fifth Irish golfer to win The Open's claret jug, after cruising to victory at Portrush over the weekend.
