County Longford's Love Island's contestant Maura Higgins has been warned by the show's producers about 'offensive language', before even setting foot in the villa reports the Daily Mail

The warning comes after Maura, 28, was filmed saying the word 'f**got' with friend and fellow model Jennifer McSween while in Dubai.

The video was posted to Jennifer's Instagram page on March 26 and has been viewed more than 24,000 times.

Maura was making a joke as she quoted from the cult 2009 film The Hangover, however Love Island bosses were quick to respond seriously to the footage.

A spokesman told MailOnline: ''We do not tolerate any offensive language in the villa and we speak to all of the islanders to remind them of what we condone to be acceptable behaviour during their time on the show.'''

The video of Maura which was shown to more than 24,000 followers on Jennifer's Instagram account, comes just hours before brunette Maura enters the Love Island villa and while viewers are still questioning the sudden exit of Sherif Lanre from the show.
