That's a lot for a small country.

Remember that time when there were queues for hours outside Krispy Kreme in Blanchardstown?

Well that was a full year ago as the store is gearing up to celebrate its first birthday. The iconic doughnut chain will be one year here in Ireland this Thursday 26th September. To celebrate, they're throwing a party in the Blanchardstown outlet.

It's all kicking off from 7am on Thursday with face painting and competitions running throughout the day. Anyone who also celebrates their birthday on September 26th will get a free doughnut, if they have valid ID to prove it.

Krispy Kreme have sold a whopping 2.2million doughnuts in a year and to mark that, they've released a brand new birthday doughnut.

The O’riginal Party! doughnut is on sale for a limited time at their Blanchardstown store.
