Her body was found in a derelict building in Lucan last May.

A jury has been sworn in to hear the trial of two teenage boys accused of murdering 14-year-old schoolgirl Ana Kriegel in Dublin last year.

Both have pleaded NOT guilty to the murder charge and one of them has also denied a further charge of aggravated sexual assault.

Ana Kriegel’s naked body was found in a disused building in Lucan, Dublin a few days after she was reported missing last May.

Two boys, who were aged 13 at the time of the alleged offences, pleaded NOT guilty to her murder when the charge was put to them this afternoon.

One of them is also charged with a violent sexual assault on Ana. He also denies that.

Mr. J Paul McDermott told potential jurors the details of the case would be upsetting and he warned them not to sit if they’d already formed a view. He also warned them about disclosing the identities of the boys.

A jury of eight men and four women was then sworn in to hear the trial, which is due to get underway tomorrow.
