There are now calls for a criminal investigation.
There are calls for a criminal investigation to be undertaken after a report found significant harm was caused to 46 children attending South Kerry CAMHS.
The Taoiseach has described the findings of the report as "shocking" and has ordered a nationwide audit of CAMHS.
A review found 46 children suffered 'significant harm' after being prescribed inappropriate medication by a junior doctor between 2016 and 2020.
A further 227 children were exposed to the risk of significant harm.
This Kerry CAMHS story would sicken you to your stomach. The distress of parents & children involved is unimaginable. It may centre around one doctor but clearly an absolute systemic failure.

An audit of the country's Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services must be independently led, according to Mental Health Reform.
The coalition says trust in services nationally have been badly affected by findings in south Kerry.
