Painters and decorators voted 'the most craic' among tradespeople

Other tradespeople would want to pull their socks up according to a new survey

New research by hardware chain Homevalue has revealed what people really think of the tradespeople they let into their homes when there's work to be done.

Electricians came out with the most glowing report - voted as being the most professional (39%), the most trustworthy (29%) and the best timekeepers (21%).

They were also branded the most expensive, but let's be honest, a good spark is probably worth the investment.

Coming just behind the electrocutions, plumbers were voted as second most professional (18%), second most expensive (25%) and second-most trustworthy (17%).

But it was the painters and decorators who captured the heart of the nation it seems, the group was voted to be the most craic (18%), narrowly beating Plumbers (15%) and by Bricklayers (14%).
