Derry Hallowe'en 2022

Derry Hallowe’en 2022 will unfold across the city, in the City of Bones & Forest of Shadows, whilst stretching to Donegal and Strabane. This Festival is one of the biggest in the whole of Europe. It always features in the best Halloween destinations. They have 14 key locations across the city and the festival runs from the 28th to the 31st of October.
According to their Website, highlights include: "Awakening Of The Walls where the history of Derry will pour out from the city’s iconic buildings unveiling the myths and mischief of Samhain and introducing you to some of our favourite characters from beyond the veil".
Púca Festival - Co. Meath
Púca is back and out to make Mischief this Halloween!
The Puca festival is at the heart of the Samhain festival celebrations and will deliver a range of activities including epic music performances from Gavin James, Imelda May, The Academic and even a podcast from Blindboy.
According to the Puca Website: When light turns to dark and the veil between the worlds of the living and the dead thins, the creatures of Samhain, Ireland’s ancient Halloween tradition, come to life.
Roaming the darkness like a shadowy spectre, the shape-shifting spirit of Púca comes alive! Changing the fortunes of all who cross her path as she transforms the night into a colourful playground of hallowed celebration.

Halloween Horror Nights, Universal Orlando Resort

If you want to try something truly frightful, Universal Orlando's Halloween Horror Nights is next level stuff. There are 10 terrifyingly haunted houses, 5 sinister scare zones, 2 outrageous live shows and exhilarating attractions which take place from September until until the end of October. Melanie May does advise that this sells out very quickly so pop it on your bucket list if you can't make it for this year.
Day Of The Dead - Mexico (Dia De Los Muertos)
Mexico honours and celebrates those close to us who have passed away during its Day Of The Dead celebnrations. This important tradition takes place across Mexico and the tradition is to build private altars ("ofrendas") containing the favorite foods and beverages, as well as photos and memorabilia, of the departed. The intent is to encourage visits by the souls, so the souls will hear the prayers and the words of the living directed to them.
