Plenty here that you can get stuck into.

Once the gifts have been open and the turkey's been demolished, there's only one thing left to do on Christmas Day - flake on the couch!

If your plans for the day include polishing off that tin of Roses and watching whatever film happens to be on the telly, then look no further.

Here are five of the best movies on the TV today.

Home Alone 2 - Lost in New York

We'll kick it off with a classic. This one is on both Channel 4 and RTÉ 2 across today so if you miss it on one, you'll be sure to catch the other. In this installment, Kevin accidentally boards a flight to New York City while his entire family are on the way to Miami. It's showing at 5:15pm on Channel 4 and 6:45pm on RTÉ 2.

The Grinch - RTÉ One - 6pm

Ah... another festive favourite to watch today. You can spend the evening with The Grinch in Whoville. The furry, green, cranky creature lives alone in a cave outside the town who comes up with a dastardly scheme to ruin the festive season.

Into the West - TG4 - 6:45pm

This iconic Irish film follows two young boys from Dublin who find a mysterious white stallion. They take care of it but then the local officials try to whisk it away from them.

Dirty Dancing - Virgin Media One - 9pm

Sure where do we start with this one? It has old-school romance, it has drama and it has that infamous lift that we've all attempted once or twice on a night out.

Bohemian Rhapsody - RTÉ One - 10:10pm

This really is a must-see for any Queen or Freddie Mercury fan. It follows the story of Freddie as he goes from playing small venues to becoming one of the biggest rockstars in the world. However, as well as their superstardom, Freddie grapples with his ego, sexuality and a fatal illness.
