Queue times at Dublin Airport this morning were up to 40 minutes.
Spokesperson Graham McQueen says it's doing all it can to find a situation.
"We're trying to get back to the levels of customer service that we pride ourselves on, and no stone is being left unturned," he added.
"But we do ask passengers to work with us and get to the airport early. Be prepared for things to take a little bit longer than what you might expect," he added.
Transport officials are to hold daily crisis management meetings to tackle the long queues.
It's expected thousands of people will travell through Dublin Airport.
