The Irish boxer made history yesterday.
On Saturday night, Katie Taylor beat Amanda Serrano in the biggest-ever fight in women’s boxing history.
The Bray boxer and undisputed world champion won a split decision after going all 10 rounds with the Puerto Rican.
It was the first time a women’s fight has been the main event at New York’s Madison Square Garden.
Afterwards, Taylor says she’d be keen on a rematch, with Croke Park a possibility.
Today, it's reported residents around Croke Park in Dublin have welcomed the possibility of a Katie Taylor fight in their area.
Both camps have verbally agreed to a rematch later this year - with the GAA headquarters floated as a potential venue.
The Irish Independent have reported the Croke Park Residents Association would be "delighted" with the fight as it's a "one off event".
However, it's believed Madison Square Garden, which held the first bout, would be the preferred rematch venue.
Speaking after the match Taylor said it was a highlight of her career:
“Special, special moment. The best night of my career for sure, I wasn’t sure anything could reach my Olympic Gold medal moment, but tonight was absolutely the best moment of my career,” Taylor said afterwards.
