We want you to get behind the 'Nothing Kills Like Hunger' campaign.
It's 2021, and we should be living in a world without hunger or famine.
Yet, that's not the case for some.
We often think of missiles, bombs and guns when we hear the word 'conflict'.
But it goes much deeper than this.
The most powerful and dangerous weapon being used now is hunger.
Children living in conflict zones are statistically more likely to die as a result of hunger and disease than from violence.
Right now, 41 million people are at risk of dying from starvation – that’s more than 8 times the population of Ireland.
Crops and livestock are destroyed, while access to food trucks and markets are cut off in these areas.
But, there is something you can do to help.
Concern is asking the Irish public to take 30 seconds right now to sign their open letter and call on global leaders to end hunger for people in conflict.
iRadio are proudly supporting Concern's campaign: 'Nothing Kills Like Hunger'.
Concern are hoping to collect as many signatures as possible supporting their campaign.
They'll then present it to members of the United Nations Security Council, which Ireland is currently a member of, urging them to do all they can to help break the cycle of conflict and hunger.
Since 1968, Concern have been urging the Irish public to do their bit to aid those affected by hunger and conflict.
And last year Concern helped 36.9 million people in 23 of the world’s poorest countries.
iRadio and Concern are calling on the Irish public to get behind the 'Nothing Kills Like Hunger' Campaign.
30 seconds of your time can make a difference.
