The driver was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving
Several young people are recovering in hospital after they were injured when a car mounted a footpath in Birr on Saturday night.
The youngsters were standing outside a chipper on O'Connell Street when they were struck by the vehicle.

Five people were taken to the Midlands Regional Hospital in Tullamore for treatment.
More people were treated at the scene.
The driver of the car, aged in his late teens, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of drink-driving.
He was later released pending further investigations.
