You better not be messing with us!

After a pretty mixed bag of weather in recent times, it looks like we have some sun on the horizon to look forward too.

The latest forecast from Met Éireann says next week will be dry and warm with temperatures in the general range of 13 to 20 degrees.

And the west is set to see the best of that sunshine next Wednesday and Thursday.

The national forecaster says: ''Dry and warm next week with temps in the general range 13 to 20 degrees. Wednesday / Thursday will be the warmest days with the highest temperatures occurring on the western side of the country''.

Sadly, there'll be a touch of not so great weather to contend with in the short term... There's set to be a few rainy showers on Friday afternoon but the conditions will improve as the day develops.

However looking at the weekend and Saturday and Sunday are set to be dry with plenty of sunshine on both days.

Much like the bank holiday weekend just gone, temperatures will range from on Saturday 11 to 14 degrees ''almost calm conditions'', while Sunday will see the mercury fluctuate between 13 and 17 degrees.

Don't know about you, but we're pretty happy with this!
