The only place to be on a Friday night...
It's Friday night in the late 90s or early 2000s...and you've got a big decision to make.
Do you go for the new release? And what snack is going to perfectly accompany your decision?
This was the big dilemma faced in Xtra-Vision's up and down the country every week... a time long gone since the takeover of streaming services like Netflix.
But people have had a serious dose of nostalgia for the old days this week, after footage of a walk through through an Xtra-Vision in 2008 went viral.
Posting the clip on Twitter, Martyn Rosney wrote: "I’m glad someone recorded this video of a walkthrough in Xtra Vision for posterity. A Friday night ritual for most of Ireland that future generations will struggle to understand."

Since going up it's been viewed over 215,000 times and received over 6k likes.
And the love was strong in the comments, with one person saying: ''That comforting red and yellow colour scheme. And the smell, never quite sure what it was''.
Another added: ''Those were the days, straight to the new release section and checking the slip of paper inside to see who rented it out before you''.
And a third noted: ''Worked part time in Xtra for two years. Great job! Free dvd rentals every week, and get to choose your movie of choice for your shift! Great times!''
Great times indeed...
