A status yellow wind warning has been issued for the entire country from tomorrow evening. It'll be in place from 9pm on Wednesday until midnight on Thursday.
Met Eireann is forecasting conditions to become very windy with severe gusts likely and is also predicting coastal flooding. Here's how the national forecast is shaping up, according to the Met Éireann website:
Tuesday
Outbreaks of rain will continue to affect parts of Ulster this afternoon but will gradually clear northwards. There'll be brighter conditions elsewhere with sunny spells and scattered showers and highs of 23 degrees. Any lingering rain along the north coast will clear early tonight whilst isolated showers elsewhere will die out. It'll become mainly dry overnight with some clear spells and light breezes. However, cloud will increase with outbreaks of rain in the south. Lows of 11 degrees.
Wednesday
There'll be outbreaks of rain in the south and southeast on Wednesday morning. Those will extend gradually northwards, but will become patchy. Expect some drier weather to follow but there'll be another spell of persistent and locally heavy rain in south and southwest coastal areas in the evening. Maximum temperatures of 21 degrees.
Thursday
Another band of rain will spread northwards over the country with heavy thundery showers following. It will be mild and blustery with highest temperatures of 19 degrees in moderate to fresh and gusty southerly winds.
Friday
Friday will be blustery with further spells of rain or showers. Highest temperatures of 20 degrees with fresh, gusty south or southwest winds, strong in some coastal areas.
Weekend
Early indications suggest that Saturday will be fresh and breezy with sunny spells and scattered showers heaviest along Atlantic coasts. Highest temperatures of 20 degrees. On Sunday, we'll see more sunny spells and scattered showers, but feeling fresh with highs of 19 degrees.
